Position: Intake and Assessment Social Worker

Permanent applications (salary range £39, 834 - £48,421 including £5,000
annual enhancement)
Job Description:
As an Intake and Assessment Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in the initial assessment and response to referrals concerning children and families in need of support or intervention. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement appropriate intervention plans.
- Providing support, guidance, and advocacy to children and families to promote positive outcomes.
- Liaising with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services and resources.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and agency policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Care Wales.
- Experience working within a children and families social work setting, preferably within intake and assessment.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and needs accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children, families, and professionals effectively.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing child welfare and safeguarding.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
